2019 Nissan Altima near Hartford, CT

Witness the reveal from the New York International Auto Show. The sixth-generation Altima sets a new standard for our sedan design, but what's most important is that the vehicle offers a suite of new technologies and features that are sure to impress.

Perfect Trifecta:
Core Vehicle Attributes to Impress

One: Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology

Behind Nissan Rogue and Nissan LEAF, the all-new Altima will be the third vehicle in Nissan's U.S. lineup to be equipped with ProPILOT Assist technology, embodying the vision of Nissan Intelligent Mobility  and making the vehicles more desirable by re-defining how they are driven, powered and integrated into society. The Altima will also come standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and class-exclusive USB-C ports to enhance the driver's time behind the wheel.

Two: New Powertrains

We're making our largest investment ever in a new model powertrain development - introducing for the first time, two completely new engines for one model change. The two new engines include the world's first production ready Variable Compression Turbo, which launched on the Infiniti QX50. The sixth-generation Altima will also offer a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder for improved power and efficiency and enhanced full economy and cleaner emissions.

Three: Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive

The new Altima brings a popular CUV feature for the first time to sedans at an affordable price point-Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. This will offer all-weather handling to increase driving confidence.

"We saw that the lack of available all-wheel drive has been a key factor in pushing U.S. buyers who prefer sedans to compact SUVs," said Denis Le Vot, senior vice president, chairman of management committee, Nissan North America, Inc.  "Of the top three selling midsize sedans in the U.S., only Altima will offer all-wheel drive. We expect this to be a key sales driver, especially for customers in the northern part of the country."
